Let's start at the beginning...

Whether you want to perfect those comma stroke petals, dot those daisies or layer up the lace then it all begins with our Folk It! Level 1 Starter Kit. We're here to guide you through the addictive world of Folk Art, step by step we will teach you simple yet effective techniques that will really get your creative juices flowing.

Dotting is used in a lot of Folk Art painting and so going a bit dotty is a great and easy way to get started. The hardest part will be deciding between the Dot Roses, Daisy Chains or Heart of Hearts design to decorate the hanging heart, card and envelope.  Once you have learnt how to paint the designs, there's no stopping you. You will be wanting to hand paint gift wrap, cute gift boxes and possibly even up-cycle old furniture once you've started.  

There's nothing more annoying than buying a kit only to get home and realise you have to go and buy extra supplies. For this reason, our Starter kits give you everything you need to get started. All you need to do is get a plate to put your paint on and a glass of water to wash your brushes. 

 By following our tutorial DVD and instruction booklet, you will learn how to transfer a design onto a project and paint 3 simple designs using a dotting tool, as well as getting to know our method of creating a distressed paint effect. So lets have a peek inside of our kit...
